Hi, Nick,
Andrea Goethals and I, co-chairs of the Standards and Practices Working Group, saw that you subscribed to our listserv. Welcome! An account on our wiki [1] has been set up for you -- if you have any issues accessing it, Liz Timms [2] can help you.
We meet monthly via a phone call/WebEx session. Our next call will be on May 20th at 1 p.m. eastern time -- we'll send an agenda in a few weeks to the list. For those who can't make the call, we always post the meeting notes to the wiki.
When you have your wiki account and you have some free time, please take a few minutes to look through the statement of purpose, current scope of work and ideas for new work. We currently have one project we are finishing up (a staffing survey) and a few ongoing projects (Digital Preservation WikiProject; PDF/A-3; and Certifications and Capability Models/stages/levels). We encourage everyone to bring new project ideas to the group at any time.
We look forward to working with you, and please let us know if you have any questions.

Hi Amy,
Welcome to the NDSA Innovation Working Group! Thanks for joining and we look forward to working together to further digital stewardship.
Jane, Trevor, and myself are the group co-chairs. Feel free to email us at any time. A summary of our group activities can be found on our page on the NDSA wiki and the minutes from our most recent call provide more details. Someone at LoC should have sent you details on your wiki account, but let us know if you have any trouble accessing it.
Our group calls are every other month, first Monday of the month from 2-3pm EST. Our next call is scheduled for Monday September 9, 2-3pm EST and we will send a note to the group listserv with dial-in information beforehand.
I'll also forward a recent listserv email about a new project the WG is starting.
Once again, welcome, and let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to having you as part of the working group.

Dear Stacey: Welcome to the NDSA Content Working Group. I believe that you now have access to the wiki account and are also added to our listserv. I encourage you to review the material on the Content WG Wiki. http://www.loc.gov/extranet/wiki/osi/ndiip/ndsa/index.php?title=Content_Working_Group
You will see that we are engaging in discussions in Content Teams. You may want to review the work of each content team and decide which you would like to join. Feel free to contact the facilitator for one of the groups and ask questions about their work, if you wish. Cathy and I can also respond to any questions you may have.
We just today had an all hands Content Working Group. Minutes were posted to the wiki and to the listserv a few minutes ago. We usually meet ever other month on the first Wed. at 11am ET, but our next two meetings are a bit off schedule (one in person in a few weeks in conjunction with the Digital Preservation 2013 meeting), the other may need rescheduling but is currently set for Sept 4.) We encourage you to join these meetings to hear about current activities and to introduce yourself to our members.

- Offer to help take meeting minutes (truly appreciated!)
- Help with small or large tasks to accomplish working group goals
- Chat with your fellow members via the listserv - ask questions, tell us about your projects, introduce yourself!
- Have an idea for a project or activity? Action teams may also be formed outside of (or within) the Working Groups to perform specific tasks or accomplish goals. Start one up!
- Get your co-workers involved - if there are others in your organization that you'd like to get more involved, contact the NDSA Secretariat at ndsa@loc.gov to get them signed up.
And finally,
- Don't be afraid to change Working Groups. If the one you initially signed up for isn't a good fit, and you're more interested in activities going on in one of the other WGs, please feel free to change groups. We realize that as the work evolves, new members may find themselves in the "wrong" group. Contact your co-chairs or secretariat if you have questions about switching working groups.
