Supportive Resources for Our Time

2025 is a very difficult time for DEI professionals, immigrants to the US, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ people, librarians, and higher education in general. Here are some resources that have been shared by members of the CEI team that we felt would be useful for the greater CEI audience. Please take what you need, and leave what you don't!

Digital Safety & Protection

• Library Freedom Project's Anti-Doxxing toolkit - Information on how to protect yourself from Doxxing and Harassment, as well as what to do when it happens to you.
• Digital Harassment Self-Defense - Resource from Cornell University Library offering guidance on identifying and responding to various forms of digital harassment.
• Researcher Support Consortium - Coalition of organizations providing resources and support for researchers facing harassment.

Equity & Community

• LibVoices Podcast on Intersectionality, Community, and Activism - A conversation with Shawnta Smith-Cruz Assistant Curator and Associate Dean at NYU Libraries, Faculty Diversity Search Liaison, and co-coordinator at the Lesbian Herstory Archives, discussing intersectionality in library contexts and information activism.
• Addressing Trauma and Healing - Approaches for addressing racial trauma and promoting healing in communities.
• Countering Attacks on Racial Equity - Resource for responding to opposition to racial equity initiatives.
