Project ideas

  • Coordinate outreach & promotion plan with professional conferences over the course of the winter and spring.
  • Produce a one-page promotional hand-out/flyer with info & instructions for use at conferences and events.
  • Solicit nominations from digital preservation notables (Joy Davidson (DCC) & Bill Kilbride (DPC) were mentioned as possibilities; we can also draw on other NDSA partners) as potential “seed nominations” for use in promotion and to get the ball rolling.
  • Potentially publicizing nominees (even only in name or project name) in order to solicit more nominations.
  • Stress that contest is open to NDSA members and non-members alike. Anyone can nominate anyone.
  • Promotional messaging should be planned out and sustained.
