Diane Papineau, the GIS Analyst at the Montana State Library shared the section of their policy that influences GIS staff and illustrated their process of collecting spatial data (guided by policy) and archiving it as well as creating and serving both archival and active data to their GIS community. Diane shared some supplemental information:
