Working Group structure
- Discussed idea of smaller NDSA teams forming around specific topics and projects. Once challenge mentioned was about how to best coordinate efforts across the organization.
- Members on the call supported cross-working group efforts (with Standards WG on born-digital workflows, for example)
Activities
- Seemed to be good support for continuing case studies and Signal blog posts (Content Matters interview series)
- Member presentations are helpful and should continue
Focus
- Opportunity to refocus and broaden mission/rethink purpose statement
- Support communities forming around subject areas, but consider how this relates to the broader working group. Format/document type may be another approach to explore further.
- Reach out to the Dodging the Memory Hole group around born-digital news
Communication
- More information about the meetings would help members keep up if they miss a meeting
- Explore other communication tools available via DLF
- Consider opening meeting minutes to a broader community
- Communicate more via listserv
