Meeting Notes
Discussed the latest version, draft version 6, of the PDF/A report.
There was broad discussion on the form of the report, concentrating on the idea of offering various "scenarios" of use and presenting potential pros and cons of usage within each of the scenarios.
Actions
- Caroline will prepare another draft to be delivered by Friday Nov. 8
- The group will do final copy editing of that draft and deliver to the wider NDSA Standards group
- NARA will update their use cases to a narrative structure
- Caroline will work to revise others to a narrative form
- All members should send a brief sentence or two ASAP on "why" their organization is engagement with the PDF/A-3 education process for Sheila to incorporate in her slides for the Technical Conference (all)
- Contact Leonard Rosenthal of PDF Standards about a possible call to discuss PDF/A-3 implementation issues from the Adobe perspective (Butch)
- Prepare scenario to regarding GeoPDF conformance to PDF/A-3 to pass along to Michael Bufkin of Terrago (Caroline)
