(We had some technically difficulties on the call, so some folks couldn't join. The issue has been identified and won't effect future calls)
Next Working Group Meeting
- Monday March 3, 2014, 2-3pm Eastern
Action Items
- Chelcie will pursue interview about the NOAA
- Mike will look into an interview about digital forensics
- Jefferson wil finish interview w/ Veterans History Project re storage media
- Jefferson will pursue interview on digital newspaper project and NDSA Levels
- Trevor will wipe the slate clean on DSII IdeaScale
- Chairs will send DSII to NDSA-all
- Trevor will follow-up on NDSA Q+A site stuff
- Jefferson will revive Q+A conversation
- Need to form awards committee by/on next call
Innovation Interviews
- Jefferson's interview with Walker Sampson on e-records is up [1]
- Action items lists other interview to-dos
Digital Stewardship Innovation Idea Challenge
- Idea to have the Innovation Awards committee also do the DSII challenge
- Sample ideas are currently in the IdeaScale site: http://dsii.ideascale.com/
- Updated and finalized document for "Ideas" challenge is here: [2]
- On next call we will figure out schedule, outreach, etc, for launching the challenge
- Goal is to present awards at annual NDSA meeting (mid/late July 2014)
Digital Preservation Q+A Forum
- OPF has a "vanilla" site up for testing: [3]
- It is undergoing testing
- One idea is to have it up and running by Digital Preservation 2014 and have a hackathon-style event to serve both as the launch and to help move questions from the defunct StackExchange site to the new site
National Agenda 2015
- Feedback wanted from the working group on the 2015 update to this document. If you have topics for inclusion, feedback, anything, send to your co-chairs and we will get them to the team writing it.
