Carol: trying to get at a lightweight approach. Need to know who pushes the send button on the list in the organization. Goal is not to make this onerous, lightweight and simple.

=National Digital Strategy Agenda document=
Brainstorming ways to get the maximum impact for its release.

Action 1: Work together to generate list of press office contacts.
We'll start developing a database/spreadsheet of press office contacts at each of the NDSA organizations. Butch will get an initial spreadsheet of contacts and then we'll divide up contacting different organizations to fill it out with press office contacts.

Action 2: Simultaneous press release?
A goal is to organize the NDSA members to put out a simultaneous press release on the National Strategy document.

Organizations will need lead time for approval, ranging from a month to a couple of weeks.

The release date of the press release should be the first day of the Digital Preservation 2013 meeting, July 23, 2013. This gives us a hard date to work towards.
The draft “National Agenda” document has been distributed to the NDSA-ALL listserv and your comments are encouraged.

Need to draft press release. Consider variations for different groups (tech sector, InfoScience education, national press)
Immediate work is in two areas. First is the “Spreadsheet of NDSA Organizational Contacts” at http://www.loc.gov/extranet/wiki/osi/ndiip/ndsa/images/1/19/NDSAContacts-v2.xls

Discussed the [[NDSA:Digital Stewardship Now!]] concept. Decided that the name should be "Digital Stewardship Now" with the broad goal of including all pertinent digital stewardship info, not just limited to NDSA members.

A separate "data call" will be made to the NDSA-ALL list to start gathering RSS feeds and other inputs to the DSN! tool.
Noted that folks need to build the [http://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=4836034& NDSA LinkedIn page] into their workflow. Please post interesting tidbits to the NDSA LinkedIN group when possible.

Meeting Notes

Continued discussion of how the Outreach WG can implement the NDSA “news bureau,” concentrating efforts on working to leverage the “news bureau” in support of the rollout of the 2014 National Agenda for Digital Stewardship document.

The draft “National Agenda” document has been distributed to the NDSA-ALL listserv and your comments are encouraged.

Immediate work is in two areas. First is the “Spreadsheet of NDSA Organizational Contacts” at http://www.loc.gov/extranet/wiki/osi/ndiip/ndsa/images/1/19/NDSAContacts-v2.xls

Volunteers are dividing up the work to gather “communication professional” contacts at each organization.

Also shared a draft press release for the Agenda doc which is being reviewed.

Spent a little time discussing progress on the Digital Stewardship Now tool being developed by the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University. Further information is at: http://www.loc.gov/extranet/wiki/osi/ndiip/ndsa/index.php?title=Digital_Stewardship_Now!

A separate "data call" will be made to the NDSA-ALL list to start gathering RSS feeds and other inputs to the DSN! tool.
