	Crabtree is Assistant Director of Computing and Archival Research at the Odum Institute for Research in Social Science at UNC Chapel Hill. The institute’s social science data archive is one of the oldest and most extensive in the country. As assistant director, Crabtree completely revamped the institute’s technology infrastructure and has positioned the institute to assume a leading national role in information archiving. 	It is my belief that the NDSA is an organization that should provide a foundational role in the digital preservation efforts across our country. I would be happy to represent the Odum Institute and the University of North Carolina by serving on the NDSA Coordinating Committee. If my insights into research data preservation, digital replication auditing and information systems would be helpful to the cause; it would be a delight to serve. Our community is rich in talents that can be brought to bear to help forge solutions to digital preservation problems that face our society.
