The group was previously named Usability Studies Guidelines and Best Practices Working Group. The working group formed in 2015.

== UX Areas of Investigation ==

UX Community of Practice- We hold space each meeting for members to share and support one another. We invite members to discuss their projects, work, or research at our monthly meetings to expand knowledge among our members in UX methods and tools. Members also bring unfinished projects to solicit feedback or ask questions of the group.

Collaborative projects- The group recently collaborated on a literature review regarding phygital user experience research methods. In 2026, the group is planning to engage in a project related to UX maturity in libraries.

There are many other aspects to usability and user studies, and we welcome others who would like to pursue them.

The only requirement for participation in a DLF AIG working group is a willingness to dig in and devote a small part of your time contributing to the tools, methods, and body of knowledge on digital library assessment. This paper was published in November 2025.
